Answer to Question 1

B
Feedback:
When transmission-based precautions are in effect, it is important to plan frequent contact with the client in order to reduce social isolation. It is inappropriate to guarantee recovery to the client. Reading material may be helpful but does not reduce the isolation effects of being on precautions. Assessment for depression may be warranted but assessment alone does not minimize the psychological effects of this form of treatment.

Answer to Question 2

A
Feedback:
State boards of nursing perform multiple roles, including issuing and transferring licenses of nurses in the state. Consultations on ethics, allocation of resources, and promotion of the nursing profession are not typical activities of state boards of nursing.
