Answer to Question 1

C
Interprofessional collaboration involves bringing representatives of the various disciplines to-gether to work with patients and families to deliver quality care. This brings different points of view to the table to identify, clarify, and solve complex patient problems. Nursing practice is all nursing areas involved in one's professional career. Staff communication involves sending a clear, accurate, and timely message to all members of the nursing staff; it focuses on nurses. Staff education involves planning in-service training sessions, sending staff members to professional conferences, and having staff members present case studies or practice issues during staff meetings.

Answer to Question 2

B
Feedback:
The student could opt for a baccalaureate nursing program. Baccalaureate-prepared nurses have the greatest flexibility in qualifying for nursing positions at both staff and managerial levels. Hospital-based diploma programs are 3-year courses and provide maximum exposure to clinical nursing. Students becoming nurses through the associate degree program would not be expected to work in a management position. Continuing nursing programs are on-the-job educational programs.

Although the Roman numeral for the number 4 has always been taught to have been "IV," according to historians, the ancient Romans probably used "IIII" most of the time. This is partially backed up by the fact that early grandfather clocks displayed IIII for the number 4 instead of IV. Early clockmakers apparently thought that the IIII balanced out the VIII (used for the number 8) on the clock face and that it just looked better.
