Answer to Question 1

C
One of the ways in which nurses help clients meet their hygiene needs is to provide an appropriate type of bath: either a cleansing bath (e.g., tub, shower, self-help bed bath, or partial or complete bed bath) or a therapeutic bath prescribed by a physician as a treatment for the client's health problem (e.g., sitz bath or oatmeal bath).

Answer to Question 2

A
Payment is based upon the diagnostic-related group. Established by Congress in 1983, the pros-pective payment system eliminated cost-based reimbursement. Hospitals serving patients using Medicare were no longer paid for all costs incurred to deliver care to a patient. Instead, inpatient hospital services for patients using Medicare were combined into 468 diagnosis-related groups. Hospitals receive a set dollar amount for each patient based on the assigned DRG, regardless of the patient's length of stay or use of services in the hospital or the number of medications.
