Analysis is being open-minded as you look at information about a patient. Do not make careless assumptions in analysis. Evaluation is looking at all situations objectively and systematically and using criteria to determine results of nursing actions. Self-regulation is reflecting on your experiences and identifying ways you can improve your own performance.

To prevent slipping, crutches have rubber tips, which must be kept dry. The tip should also be inspected regularly and replaced if worn or loose.
