Answer to Question 1

3
Rationale: The most important intervention is to maintain the post in place until the client is taken to surgery, because removal can result in massive hemorrhage and the client's death. The nurse will secure the post to make sure it doesn't wiggle or move.

Answer to Question 2

Rationale: The LPN/LVN must know what is legal for her to do, and must always perform duties within the scope of practice.
