Answer to Question 1

D
The HPV vaccine is effective against the four most common types of HPV that can cause cervical cancer. Three injections are required, and booster doses currently are not recommended. It is safe for females older than 9 years of age and is intended for females from 13 to 26 years of age. The vaccine is most effective if administered before sexual activity or exposure.

Answer to Question 2

A
Xerostomia is a decrease in production of saliva; this decreases the ability and desire to eat and can lead to nutritional problems. The other options do not address taste- or nutrition-related concerns.
