Answer to Question 1

A
Cardiac output indicates how much blood is being circulated systemically. Oxygen status would be determined by pulse oximetry and the presence of cyanosis. Cardiac arrhythmias are an electrical impulse monitored through 5-lead ECG. Ventilation status is not solely dependent on cardiac output.

Answer to Question 2

C
A remittent fever spikes and falls without a return to normal temperature levels.
A sustained fever is a constant body temperature continuously above 38C that demonstrates lit-tle fluctuation.
An intermittent fever pattern has fever spikes interspersed with normal temperature levels. Tem-perature returns to acceptable value at least once in 24 hours.
A relapsing fever has periods of febrile episodes interspersed with acceptable temperature values.
