During the time a student nurse works as an employee of a health care facility, he or she must only perform tasks that appear in a job description for a nurse's aide or nursing assistant. Even if a student nurse has previously learned a task or procedure in nursing school, he or she must not perform this task as a nursing assistant because it is outside the scope of the nursing assistant job description.
