Answer to Question 1

C
Choose a site that will not interfere with activities of daily living or planned procedures. When selecting a site, place the extremity in a dependent position from the heart to increase venous dilation and visibility. Avoid sites that are distal to previous venipunctures, in antecubital fossa, inner wrist, sclerosed, hardened, or bruised.

Answer to Question 2

A
Fecal impaction results from unrelieved constipation. Fecal incontinence is the inability to control the passage of feces and gas from the anus. Normal defecation begins with movement in the left colon, moving stool towards the anus.
