Hypocalcemia can be brought on by alcohol abuse and pan-creatitis (which also can be affected by alcohol consumption). Burn patients frequently experi-ence ECV deficit. Hyperparathyroidism causes hypercalcemia. Immobility is associated with hy-percalcemia.
