Telling the patient that payment might not be ensured for non-adherence is not therapeutic communication.

The last step of the nursing process is evaluation. The nurse should evaluate the program to see if interventions had the desired effect. Evaluation could include surveys or looking at financial outcomes, but those are only limited aspects of the process. Planning for next year's event should not occur until after evaluation has been completed.
