The patient with an elevated temperature is prescribed antibacterial therapy to be taken at home. The prescribed drug is amoxicillin (Amoxil) 250 mg three times a day. What would you teach the patient about dosing intervals for this drug?
 
  a. Take the drug three times a day with meals.
  b. Take the drug every 8 hours throughout the day.
  c. Take the drug when you first get up, at lunch time, and with your evening meal.
