Diagnostic aids include rose bengal, fluorescein, and fluorexon. Cromolyn sodium is a mast cell stabilizer. Natamycin is used to treat fungal infections of the eye.

Answer to Question 2

ANS: B
Relief of symptoms of external otitis occurs within a week of the initial use of the topical antibi-otics. The other time periods are not significantly related to relief of symptoms from an eye in-fection.
