Answer to Question 1

ANS: C
H2RAs inhibit the action of histamine at histamine2 (H2) receptors, thereby inhibiting gastric acid secretion and reducing total pepsin output. The resulting decrease in acid permits healing of ul-cerated areas.

Answer to Question 2

ANS: B
Desmopressin is effective in reversing the bleeding disorder present in uremia and is useful for the prevention of post-renal biopsy bleeding. It is also used in the management of diabetes in-sipidus caused by a deficiency of vasopressin and to control bleeding in certain types of hemo-philia and von Willebrand's disease (factor VIII deficiency).
