For most cases of helmintic infestation, the patient is considered cured after three stool cultures are negative. Specimens from a patient with fluke infestation should be negative for several months before the patient is considered to be cured.

Two percent of the unabsorbed fraction of the drug is eliminated in the urine, with the remainder eliminated unchanged in feces.
