The use of dopaminergic drugs, such as levodopa, is contraindicated in patients with nar-row-angle glaucoma, blood dyscrasias, uncontrolled hypertension, who are concurrently using monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs), or who have hypersensitivity to the drug or its ingredi-ents. Levodopa should also not be used in patients with history of malignant melanoma.
