IPV has no serious adverse effects, but local soreness may occur.
Very rarely, OPV has caused a mild form of polio, but the scenario discusses IPV.
The development of drowsiness and agitation is more often associated with DTaP.
A low-grade fever is a possibility post IPV vaccine but a high-grade fever is not a common side effect.

ANS: D
Mild reactions are common and most often are manifested by a low-grade fever, fretfulness, drowsiness, and local reactions of swelling and redness.
At least 50 of children experience reactions.
Seizures are not common.
Itchy vesicles do not appear with the DTaP vaccine.
