Ibuprofen and other nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) may reduce the antihypertensive effects of ACE inhibitors.
Diuretics enhance the hypotensive effects of lisinopril, therefore the nurse should not be concerned if the patient is concurrently taking either spironolactone or furosemide.
Verapamil is not contraindicated in patients taking lisinopril.
