Neurotoxicity (seizure, confusion, hallucination) may occur if blood levels of penicillin G are too high. The signs and symptoms are clearly neurologic in nature.
Nothing indicates that the patient has a history of alcohol abuse.
Manifestations of an intra-arterial injection are gangrene, necrosis, or sloughing of tissue.
An accidental peripheral nerve injection may result in paralysis.
