Answer to Question 1

D
The patient has apparent sexual dysfunction, because microvascular changes in the body can oc-cur as a result of poor circulation in patients with diabetes. This answer would be the best and most appropriate for the patient's plan of care.
There is no evidence of noncompliance in this scenario.
The patient does not complain of energy loss or activity intolerance, and that should not be as-sumed.
Body image disturbance is typically associated with the loss of a limb or with not liking your body image. Loss of libido is loss of desire, which is not conveyed in this scenario.

Answer to Question 2

C
Because the patient is of childbearing age, she must be able to comply with birth control meas-ures and use a reliable method. The patient must have a negative serum pregnancy test within 2 weeks of starting therapy. The drug is contraindicated during pregnancy because it can lead to partial or complete expulsion of the fetus.
The medication should be started only on the second or third day of the next normal menstrual cycle.
The medication should be taken with meals (not before) and at bedtime.
There is no basis for performing breast self-examination more often.
