Gastrointestinal disturbances are common with antihistamines and may be minimized by taking the drug with meals.
Frequent sips of liquids will not reduce the effects.
Taking the medication with an antacid will not reduce the effects.
Discontinuing the drug would not be recommended, because a serious adverse effect is not evi-dent in this scenario.
