Answer to Question 1

D
Feedback:
Levothyroxine (Synthroid, Levoxyl, Levothroid), a synthetic salt of thyroxine, is the most frequently used replacement hormone to treat hypothyroidism because of its predictable bioavailability and reliability. Propylthiouracil and methimazole would be used to treat hyperthyroidism; teriparatide is an antihypocalcemic agent.

Answer to Question 2

A
Feedback:
The adverse effects associated with sucralfate are primarily related to its GI effects. Constipation is the most frequently seen adverse effect. Imbalanced nutrition, if seen, would be related to diarrhea or constipation and not nausea. Fluid volume deficit and bleeding are not common adverse effects of this drug.
