Answer to Question 1

A, D, E
Feedback:
COX-2 inhibitors have an impact on many body functions and patients receiving this therapy should be assessed for GI effects, changes in bleeding time, and water retention. Patients taking COX-2 inhibitors do not need to be evaluated for liver function or altered hearing because these are not common adverse effects.

Answer to Question 2

A
Feedback:
Serum levels and effectiveness may decrease if corticosteroids are combined with salicylates. Dimenhydrinate, ibuprofen, and famotidine have not been found to produce drugdrug interaction.

It is most important to realize that the same is true of not just illegal substances but alcohol and tobacco as well.
