Goals should be specific and measurable, so the ability to ambulate the length of the hall is a valid assessment. The patient cannot increase compliance when he or she has not been lacking in compliance because this is a new diagnosis. Deficient knowledge and risk for injury are nursing diagnoses and not goals.
