Answer to Question 1

A
Feedback:
Initiation of antihypertensive therapy creates a risk of acute hypotension and consequent falls. Infection, confusion, or impaired oxygenation is much less likely.

Naloxone (Narcan) has long been the drug of choice to treat respiratory depression caused by an opioid. Capsaicin is made from cayenne pepper and applied topically for pain relief. Butorphanol (Stadol) is a synthetic, Schedule IV agonist similar to morphine in analgesic effects and ability to cause respiratory depression.
