Answer to Question 1

A
Feedback:
Epinephrine is the adrenergic drug of choice for relief of anaphylactic shock, the most serious allergic reaction, as well as in treatment of cardiac arrest. Norepinephrine is not administered. Acetylcysteine (Mucomyst) is used for acetaminophen overdose. Dantrolene sodium is used to treat malignant hyperthermia.

Answer to Question 2

A
Feedback:
Atropine reverses only the muscarinic effects of cholinergic drugs, primarily in the heart, smooth muscle, and glands. Atropine does not interact with nicotinic receptors and therefore cannot reverse the nicotinic effects of skeletal muscle weakness due to overdose of indirect anticholinergic drugs.
