Answer to Question 1

C
Feedback:
The body's primary external defense mechanism is intact skin. The development of a decubitus ulcer allows for entry of microbial growth. The mucous membranes, respiratory tract, and gastrointestinal tract are not affected primarily.

Answer to Question 2

B
Feedback:
In children and adolescents, aspirin is contraindicated in the presence of viral infections, such as influenza or chickenpox, because of its association with Reye's syndrome. Acetaminophen (Tylenol) and ibuprofen (Motrin) are safe to administer for fever reduction and pain relief in children and adolescents. Ascorbic acid (vitamin C) is safe to administer to children but is not used to reduce fever or pain.

Daylight saving time is used in some islands, but not in others—further shifting the hours out of sync with natural time.
