B. Clean and prepare skin; wipe sites with alcohol to help remove the oils that would prevent adherence of electrodes.
A. Although the procedure is painless, it is important to document and note if the client is experiencing any chest discomfort during the procedure.
C. Instruct client to lie still without talking because body movement produces artifact, which may necessitate repeating the test.
D. Apply self-sticking electrodes.

Answer to Question 2

A. Repeat irrigation may be necessary to remove the occlusion.
B. Cotton swabs or other objects should not be placed in the ears.
C. The continued cerumen occlusion would not usually require notification of the provider.
D. Warm towels could not be expected to affect cerumen occlusion.
