A. Use infusion pump and compatible tubing without Y-ports. Some infusion pumps have tubing color coded for intraspinal use.
B. Use infusion pump and compatible tubing without Y-ports.
C. Tape to secure connections and prevent catheter disconnection.
D. Use prediluted preservative-free opioid or local anesthetic as prescribed by physician and prepared for use in IV infusion pump (usually prepared by pharmacy).
