Even if a patient misses one pill, she should take the next pill for that day on time after taking the missed pill immediately. A pregnancy test is not necessary. Starting the next month's pill packet at day 1 is not the appropriate action to take. Taking both the missed pill and the next pill at the next scheduled time is not the appropriate action to take.
