Data on the month in which a sample of people were born would best be summarized by the
 
  a. median, because month of the year is an ordinal variable.
   b. median, because the data would probably be normally distributed across
   months.
   c. mean, because the data would likely be skewed.
  d. mean, because all months could be added together and divided by the number of people in the sample.

Question 2

By definition, one can never obtain a statistic unless
