Why are the coils in an air-source heat pump referred to as the outdoor coil and indoor coil instead of the condenser and evaporator?
 
  A) Because both the coils in a heat pump coils are identical.
  B) Their function (evaporator or condenser) reverses when the unit changes from cooling to heating.
  C) It can sometimes be difficult to determine the exact location of the coils.
