What is the pressure in psi required to lift water 20 feet?
 
  A) 14.7 psijust enough to overcome atmospheric pressure
  B) (20 ft  0.433 lb/ft) 144 in2/ft2 = 0.06 psi
  C) 20 ft  0.433 lb/ft = 8.66 psi
  D) It is not possible to determine the pressure without knowing the cross sectional area of the pipe.
