For each situation, decide if the random variable described is a discrete random variable or a continuous random variable. Random variable X = the weight (in pounds) a dieter will lose after following a two week weight loss program.
 a. Discrete random variable
  b. Continuous random variable

Question 2

For a randomly selected sample of 40 first-year students at a University, 20 received a grade of A in their required course in English. Calculate a 90 confidence interval for the proportion of all first-year students who received an A in English.
