Answer to Question 1

z = 0.84 . This says that the 80th percentile in a normal distribution is 0.84 standard deviations above the mean.

Answer to Question 2

Since A and B are mutually exclusive events, the occurrence of either event excludes the occurrence of the other. Now, since A has already occurred, then B cannot possibly occur.
