IN A CASE-CONTROL STUDY THE RESEARCHER DOES NOT RANDOMLY ASSIGN TREATMENTS WITHIN PAIRS BUT IS RESTRICTED TO HOW THEY OCCUR NATURALLY (FOR EXAMPLE RIGHT VS LEFT HANDED). ALSO, NOT ALL CASE-CONTROL STUDIES MATCH CASES AND CONTROLS.
