Name one way in which the study of statistics is useful for every day life.

Question 2

A local salon employs 4 stylists and the owner. The four stylists each make between 300 and 400 per week yet the average salary was reported to be 580. One could conclude all except for which?
1.There must be an error in the calculation. The mean can't be 580.
2.The owner makes approximately 1500 per week.
3.Reporting the mean is advantageous to the owner who wishes to exaggerate what she pays her workers.
4.The median would have been less misleading and more representative of what a worker might expect to be paid at the salon.
