A card is selected randomly from a deck of 52. The events A, B, and C are defined as follows.
 
  A = event the card selected is a heart
  B = event the card selected is a club
  C = event the card selected is an ace
 
  Is the collection of events A, B, and C mutually exclusive?

Answers will vary. Possible answer: Cluster sampling can save time when members of the population are widely scattered geographically. The disadvantage is that members of a cluster may be more homogeneous than the members of the population as a whole and may not mirror the entire population.
