ANS: The tanpura player provides drone accompaniment, which provides a
musical foundation for the soloist to improvise over.

ANS: Pitch bending ornamentation is changing in pitch of string by sliding it up
and down against a fret or bridge. Chordophones generally have broad and flat frets,
which make pitch bending possible
