 Native-American elements: steady, repetitive drumbeat and vocables; text emphasizes harmony with nature/Mother Earth, an important Native-American value
 Euro-American elements such as string orchestra, harmonies, interpretive dynamics, and English text
 The use of the voice of the famous late Native American and film star, Chief Dan George, adds to the richness of the production.

Answer to Question 2

 Frank Mitchell, a ceremonial practitioner, was known for his ability to keep up the spirit of the participants in long ceremonials with his ready supply of jokes and funny comments.
 The word for chief in Navajo means one who speaks.
 Voices of humans and all other creatures are the culminating point of sacred descriptions in prayers and songs.
