Answer to Question 1

Advantages of the AGM battery include the following; maintenance free, leakproof / spillproof, very low gassing unless it's overcharged, rechargeable to 90 in approximately 4 hours, completely recharged in six hours.
Disadvantages; total battery life becomes shorter if it is allowed to completely discharge frequently, charging circuit needs temperature control and temperature compensation, battery is completely sealed so it is difficult to add or replace electrolyte, charge foliage limited to 14.4 to 14.7 so battery does not become overcharged.
