See Figure 6-16 The top layer is a transparent conductor that allows light to move through it. The next layer is made of P-type material and the N-type material is layered under the P-type material but separated by insulator film. The next part of the material is back metal contact material and this is all mounted to a polymer substrate that makes this type of solar film material very plyable.
