How does a glass stem thermometer measure temperature?

Question 2

A given transformer has a primary voltage of 240 V and a secondary voltage of 24 V. Assuming the transformer is rated at 40 VA, what is the secondary current?

Expansion and contraction of the fluid makes the liquid level rise and fall with temperature.

Answer to Question 2

40 VA  24V = 1.67 amps
