Answer to Question 1

Radius = 1/2 of diameter = 8/2 = 4 inches
Area = 4 x 4 x 3.14 = 16 x 3.14 = 50.27 square inches rounded

Answer to Question 2

High suction pressure and low discharge pressure will usually be interpreted as an inefficient compressor. However the high amperage draw of the compressor indicates it is operating against a high discharge pressure. This will point

toward a restriction between the outlet of the compressor and the pressure measuring point.
