Why is it better to use water-based adhesives as opposed to VOC-based solvent adhesives?

Answer to Question 1

Some VOC's are flammable and others can produce hazardous fumes.

Answer to Question 2

A good vinyl electrical tape should have some stretch so it can form itself around the wires or connection and the tape must resist heat without loosening or softening.
