Answer to Question 1

The barometric damper should not be installed on the end of a bull-headed tee, but on the branch of a tee that is in-line with the connector.

Answer to Question 2

A liquid receiver is used after the condenser on the high side. It is designed to allow only liquid to leave. An accumulator is located on the low side just before the compressor. It is designed to allow only vapor out.
