Answer to Question 1

Vaporizing and and steam humidifiers because they provide the heat to evaporate the water. Bypass evaporative humidifiers are also used with heat pumps.

Answer to Question 2

Between 30 to 60. However, the percentage of relative humidity that can safely be maintained decreases as the outdoor temperature decreases.
