Some of these include dust, bacteria, smoke, spores, pollen, and radioactive particles.

Answer to Question 2

Pressure drop and velocity. The line should be large enough to reduce pressure drop through it, but small enough to achieve the required minimum velocity to keep the oil moving through the line.
