Answer to Question 1

To avoid reverse flow you should keep your equipment must in good condition, never use an oxygen cylinder with less than 50 psig in it, always independently bleed his hoses before lighting the torch, and never light both gases at once.

Answer to Question 2

There are many measurements and adjustments that are specific to testing and balancing, which are not normally performed in regular HVACR work. Technicians working for TAB contractors go through extensive training and certification that can take up to five years to complete.
