Answer to Question 1

This Standard applies to all residential construction work including single-family homes, apartments and condos, land development and remodeling renovations.

Answer to Question 2

The maximum safe exposure level in parts per million by volume is called the threshold limit value (TLV). The occupational exposure limit (OEL) is a time weighted average (TWA) concentration for a normal 8-hour day, 40-hour week that is safe without any adverse effect. This can also be expressed as TLV-TWA. The permissible exposure level (PEL), which is similar to OEL, is based upon a time-weighted average as set by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration
